Our goal is to ensure that great photography is available to everyone, at an affordable price. We offer a photojournalistic documentary style of photography sprinkled with candid’s. We capture your special day to ensure that your memories are preserved for you and for anyone looking to relive your special day, as it happened.

Our Story

Doug picked up his first camera in 1983. In 1989 he shot his first wedding, and that started his career and he never thought it would bring him to where he is today.

Starting off in Sutton, Ontario, he ended up  moving to Toronto to shoot freelance for a variety of different studios there. Throughout the 1990’s and in the early 2000’s, he gained a lot of experience shooting many weddings from different cultures. In 2002, Doug moved to Oakville and had the opportunity to manage an existing studio. This allowed him to familiarize himself with Hamilton, Halton and the Niagara Regions. This also gave him insight into the business aspect of photography that prepared him to branch out and start his own company, Doug Wolters Photography. In 2012, Doug Wolters Photography became a reality for him. The same time he started his studio, he moved to St. Catharines and began his amazing life.

Doug has been fortunate that his experience in Law Enforcement, his certification in American Sign Language and his love of working with people, have been assets in his Wedding and Portrait Photography. He has been able to build a loyal client base that continually invite him into their lives to capture their most precious moments. This is the main reason that his passion continues to grow and allows him to continually give his clients, past, present and future, what they need and more. Give us a closer look, you will not be disappointed!

Doug is the heart and face of Doug Wolters Photography but behind the scenes is a hard working team of staff! He fronts a team of 15 photographers, videographers and administrative staff, working together to capture your lasting memories.
